Export your drive history from Waze

Important: Waze does not export the full GPS track of a drive. Its official data archive records the start and end of each drive.

ClearSpot Travel can use the coordinates and timestamps Waze gives you. It will not invent the missing road between them.

1. Go to waze.com/account and sign in. waze.com/account
2. Choose Download your Waze data.
3. Request the data archive.
4. Save the temporary password Waze gives you.
5. When the email arrives, download the archive and open it with that password. Waze says the password is valid for about 24 hours.
6. Find account_activity.csv in the extracted files.
7. Upload account_activity.csv to ClearSpot Travel. Do not upload the encrypted ZIP: ClearSpot Travel cannot open a password-protected archive.

What Waze actually gives you

Waze documents each drive with a start date/time and coordinates, and an end date/time and coordinates. Those timestamps are in GMT.

That is enough to show when and roughly where a drive started and ended. It is not enough to reconstruct the exact roads, turns or intermediate GPS positions.

If the CSV only contains a few drives, ClearSpot Travel may reject it because there is still no usable track. Prefer a timestamped GPX when you have one.

Want the real track?

If the trip was also recorded by a Garmin device, Strava, a GPX logger or another GPS app, use that file instead. A timestamped track gives ClearSpot Travel the actual intermediate positions.
